Is it a bat? Is it a witch? Is it from Mars? The "Chupacabras" has captured the immagination of many Mexicans.

Whatever it is, it is known to be furry, have big bulbous eyes and sucks the blood of goats and other animals.

While the government appeals for calm, entrepreneurs in Tijuana have produced T-shirts and key rings and offer tours of sites said to have Chupacabras links.
